About Us – The Team Behind G7 Poker
G7 Poker is built by a team of real poker players with over 10 years of hands-on experience across online, live and tournament poker. Everything you find on this site comes directly from time spent at the tables, not from content agencies or algorithms.
Who We Are
We’re not a publishing company. We’re not a content agency. We’re poker players and this website is the resource we always wished existed when we were learning the game. Between us, we’ve played thousands of hours across online platforms, live card rooms, and competitive tournament circuits.
Our Story – Why We Built This
We got tired of poker guides written by people who had clearly never played a hand in their life. Recycled rules pages, strategy articles that contradicted themselves, hand ranking charts with no real context — the internet is full of poker content that looks good but helps nobody.
So we decided to build something better.
We started writing guides the way we’d explain things to a friend sitting down at a table for the first time — clearly, honestly, and with the kind of detail that actually matters when real money is on the line. Word spread, the site grew, and the mission stayed the same: real poker knowledge, from real poker players.
Our Experience – What We’ve Actually Done
Our team’s collective experience covers every major format and setting in the game:
Online Poker
We’ve played on the major international platforms — cash games from micro-stakes up through mid-stakes, multi-table tournaments, Sit & Gos, and fast-fold formats. We understand how online play differs from live, how software exploits work, and how to build a bankroll responsibly.
Live Cash Games
We’ve logged hours in casino card rooms and private games, across different regions and table cultures. We know what it’s like to manage physical tells, handle live chip play, navigate floor rulings, and deal with the social dynamics that online play simply doesn’t prepare you for.
Tournament Poker
From local bar leagues and charity events to regional and major tournament series, our team has competed at multiple levels of tournament poker. We understand ICM pressure, stack-to-blind dynamics, final table adjustments, and the mental endurance the format demands.
Poker Study & Theory
Alongside playing, we’ve invested seriously in studying the game — solver work, hand history review, training sites, and poker literature. We bring both practical table experience and theoretical grounding to every piece of content we publish.
What We Believe
Poker rewards those who study it seriously. We believe anyone willing to put in the work can become a genuinely strong player — regardless of where they start. Our job is to make that learning curve shorter and less painful than it was for us.
Experience beats credentials here. We don’t have poker world titles on our walls. What we have is real time at real tables, real mistakes that cost us real money, and real lessons learned from all of it. That’s what we write from.
You deserve straight answers. No fluff, no filler, no “it depends” cop-outs without explanation. When you come to us with a question about the game, we give you an honest, complete answer — the same one we’d give a teammate before a big session.
Our Commitment to Accuracy
Every guide on this site is written or reviewed by a team member with direct experience in the topic being covered. We update our content when rules change, platforms update, or strategy evolves. If we’re ever unsure about something, we say so — and we go find out before publishing.
We also take responsible gambling seriously. Poker is a game of skill, but it involves real money and carries real risk. We encourage all players to set limits, play within their means, and seek help if gambling stops being fun. Resources like [link to responsible gambling org] are always available.
Have a Question or Suggestion?
We genuinely want to hear from our readers — whether it’s a hand you want analyzed, a topic you want covered, or feedback on something we got wrong. Reach us at contact@g7poker.com. This site exists because poker players like you kept showing up. We don’t take that lightly.
